Adnan started in television documentary as a presenter travelling from Karachi to Passu in Pakistan for the BBC, next from Kurdistan down to Basra in Iraq. He met armed gangs in Cape Town for Channel 4’s Unreported Word for which he won the Premio Luchetta Award for Reportage, and followed a Sudanese migrant crossing the mountains from Italy to France at night. For ITV, he infiltrated a people-smuggling gang in Calais, France for which he was nominated for the Royal Television Society Journalism Award. He has appeared on BBC, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, ITV, Channel 4, ARTE. Adnan was a judge for the Grierson Awards and the Chair of the TV/Video Judging Panel for the Sandford St Martin 2021 Awards. He has a Masters degree in Film Production. During a two year period in Taliban-held Afghanistan Adnan helped produce documentaries for Channel 4 on the British armed forces fighting the Taliban and was second camera on the Emmy award-winning and BAFTA nominated documentary, Escape from Kabul for HBO/BBC.
