Adnan has visited Iraq several times. He wrote for The Economist on the foreign fighters joining the Kurds to fight against ISIS and travelled the country from north to south for the BBC’s Journey in the Danger Zone: Iraq, for which he provided the concept and presented, it was called “The best documentary of the year so far” by the TV Times, given  *****  in the Financial Times and shortlisted for Sandford St Martin Awards.
